When it comes to your wardrobe, mixing and matching colors can either make you a fashion goddess or styling fail. And, sometimes we just need a little help to make sure we stay winning. Luckily, Fashion Snoops is here to help us fashionably work this year’s top trending colors into our wardrobes. Dove partnered with the leading trend and color forecasting agency to promote its Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant because there is nothing worse than deodorant stains ruining your look.

The wardrobe refresher kit shows us to incorporate your favorite colors into your wardrobe, what colors pair best and gives advice on power workwear and special occasion ensembles. The platform also comes in clutch predicting which colors will be in a style for up to two years ahead of the shades currently on runway and in stores.

To put it into action, I was recently invited to a styling session with Beyoncé’s personal stylist Zerina Akers to get a firsthand look at this year’s must-try color palette. (ICYMI: there is now officially one degree of separation between me and the queen!). Zerina is also behind the styling of such celeb divas as Chloe and Halle Bailey, Yara Shahidi and Niecy Nash. So, I was ecstatic to have the fashion guru walk me through a range of pastels, warm neutrals and vibrant shades while showing how to mix, match and style my look with color in mind.

Before we met, I sent over my measurements favorite colors and brands (which included purple, Tracy Reese and YSL) to pull a series of looks for me. She had several ensembles for me to choose from, including dresses and separates. I immediately fell in love with a violet H&M long sleeved top and House of CB’s ‘Dray’ off-white chunky rib bandage skirt. (Zerina is truly one in a million.)

Zerina completed my look with a pair of leather court nude pumps from Topshop for a balanced ensemble. As a finishing touch, my gold necklaces provided gorgeous accents to pull the look together for a sophisticated-chic style. I’m all about pieces that flatter my shape and as a workaholic, I need looks that allow me to transition from day to night and Zerina nailed it.

A surprise photoshoot ended my session as I was able to channel my inner top model diva to bring my look to life and was actually blown away that Dove’s spray left no trace of deodorant on my outfit. The 48-hour odor and wetness protection antiperspirant comes in two scents — Sheer Cool and Crystal Touch — that offer the brand’s signature moisturizing technology to nurture and care for the skin.

Many thanks to Zerina Akers for a life-changing experience. When it comes to my fashion game, I’m not someone who is afraid to take risks – especially with color. I had so much fun playing with different shades and learning unique ways to balance neutrals to create a head-turning slay.
