Pantene Pro-V Gold Series has added a new sulfate-free shampoo to its hair care lineup co-created with a team of Black scientists, stylists and dermatologists. After wowing us last year with its launch celebrating the magic of textured hair, the brand expanded the line to remove sulfates from its moisturizing shampoo.

“The Gold Series Scientists developed the sulfate-free shampoo to meet the needs of many natural hair women who desire a sulfate-free product,” said the brand in a statement. “The scientists designed the product to be full of the most beneficial ingredients which deposit and penetrate into the hair to deliver hair health and moisturization benefits while at the same time being sulfate free.”
This is quite refreshing given that studies show Black hair products are the most toxic of all haircare products on the market.
Designed for dry, damaged hair, the new addition is infused with argan oil and boasts a rich lather that rinses clean without stripping hair of its natural oils. The fresh-smelling shampoo is also paraben- and silcone-free and joins a now nine-product collection of cleansers, conditioners and moisturizers to help strengthen and protect hair against breakage and damage.
The new addition retails for $7.99, with full range retailing from $5.99 – $9.99. You can shop the full collection at Target.
