Lupita Nyong’o served major glam at the National Board of Review Awards on Tuesday (Jan. 9) in NYC. The Black Panther star sparkled on the red carpet in a Balmain high neck crop top and skirt styled by Micalea Erlanger. The velour ensemble featured all-over glitter and silver button accents along the left shoulder and hip.
Her crowning accessory, however, was her braided updo.
Styled up by celebrity stylist Vernon François, the look featured a mash-up of swooping side cornrows and pencil-sized Senegalese twists pulled into a high pony. Vernon never fails to hone in on the details, using an oversized ponytail holder for added edge, along with laid baby hairs.
The Oscar winner finished off her look with a bronzy face beat and nude lip by Nick Barose.
