Singer Syleena Johnson has been working the heck out of her natural textures as co-host of the new daily show Sister Circle Live. And, like most hair mavens, she stays switching it up, rocking everything from wanded curls and textured updos to faux hawks and high ponytails. For her latest mane move, the R&B Diva turned to a must-try braided protective style that popped with her now-signature brown and blonde hues.

The beauty first gave a glimpse of the new look Wednesday, showing her stylist Robin D. Groover braiding in a base of angled to-the-back cornrows.
She later posted the finish look with braids and an added back crown of golden textured curls. The new look was created used temporary clip-in wefts for a quick switch-up.
What inspired the change-up? Syleena told Hype Hair she just wanted to experiment! “I wanted to play around with different lengths and styles that still offer protection for my hair,” she said.
