For the past year, haircare brand ORS has been steadfast in celebrating black hair magic with its #NoStereotypes campaign to empower women to express our diversity through our ‘dos. The brand brought that magic to top media, bloggers and influencers, including Hype Hair editor-in-chief Adrienne Moore, with a special dinner event this past Saturday (July 15).
Hosted by Charreah Jackson, author & Senior Editor of ESSENCE, the intimate group shared personal experiences on how they have used their platforms to defy beauty stereotypes through hair and fashion.
“It was an empowering gathering of beautiful women who came together to talk about their individual journeys,” said Adrienne. “I love the message that ORS is sharing that all women are beautiful. You have a right to express your style and be secure in the person that you are. “Black women, as a group, we are strong and beautiful have a wealth of success amongst us.”
ORS’ #NoStereotypes campaign has presented events across the country encouraging women to speak their truth about hair and texture bias and to see the beauty in all textures and styles.
