How To Slay A Full Closure Wig With A Swim Cap

I know I’m late to the party, but this video is a must-watch. French YouTuber Veve Kyd recently shared how she made a full body wave wig with lace front using a swim cap for a base. Brilliant! Not only does the stretched cap give a more fitted and realistic slay, it also can protect your hair underneath when hitting those pool and beachside parties. Imagine dipping in the water and not having to worry about slippage!

For the install, simply pin the wig cap on a model head and first start sewing on the closure using a looping carriage stitch. This will ensure your front edges are positioned properly. Continue sewing on the rest of the wefts until completely installed. Afterwards, tweeze out your baby hairs and part and you’re pretty much good to go!

Press play below to see how to cop the look. Don’t worry if you don’t speak French, fast forward about 2:15 seconds to watch Veve go to work.

Note: If you’ve never bleached or colored hair before, skip those parts (or see a professional) — the look still slays. However, if you are interested in bleaching your closure knots, watch this tutorial for step-by-step instructions.
