Take Cooler, Shorter Showers
“In the winter, we tend to shower with excessively hot water, so now that summer upon us, dial down that steamy heat to a comfortable warm temperature and keep it to 10 minutes or less,” said Dr. Jackson. “Long, hot showers feel great for the moment, however they will dry out your skin and will ultimately make it itchy.”
You don’t have to put your humidifier away just because it’s summertime, either. Dr. Jackson recommends sleeping with a small one in your room if you shower at night to help replenish moisture in the air.
