Florida Teen Breaks Internet With #BlackLivesMatter Prom Dress

Prom season is officially underway! As teens get ready for the most memorable night of their high school experience, one teen is taking statement-making fashion to a whole new level!

Seventeen year-old Milan Morris broke the internet over the weekend with her custom-made gown imprinted with images from the Black Lives Matter movement. Designed by Florida stylist Terrance Torrence, the mermaid dress featured black lace detailing, a backless cut and 15 black and white images of Black lives lost to police brutality, including Sandra Bland, Trayvon Martin, Philando Castille.

Milan put her best fashion foot forward while making no apologies for embracing her blackness and reminding the world of the Black lives that were lost. The teen shared photos of the dress via Instagram and captioned the photo with “Yes I’m black. Yes I’m 17. Yes GOD is using me to convey a message that’s bigger than me.”

It’s safe to say Milan won prom! There is no way anyone can top this masterpiece.

Are you loving Milan’s dress as much as we are?
