It seems Nicki Minaj is taking no prisoners in 2017. In past few months, the diva has slain our hair lives with floor-grazing tresses, dropped a 3-pack of chart-topping tunes and made history as female artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries ever (a spot previously held by the legendary Aretha Franklin).
Now, the No Frauds emcee has officially added model to her ever-growing list of boss-woman titles. The emcee took to Instagram Tuesday evening (March 27) to reveal inking a major contract with Wilhelmina Models’ celebrity division.
Wilhelmina CEO, Bill Wackermann told PEOPLE that he considers Nicki to be driving force in the world of fashion. “She is a style pioneer and icon.”
Nicki has already served as the face of a high fashion Roberto Cavalli campaign, slain more covers than we can count and even inspired a Giuseppe Zanotti shoe creation. There’s no telling where she’ll pop up next with this latest partnership.
“I love the synergy between my music and how it inspires my fashion,” said Nicki. “My message is always about celebrating your own style. I’m thrilled and honored to have signed with Wilhelmina. They get me.”
