Love & Hip Hop NY star Yandy Smith was out and about Wednesday taking New York Fashion Week by storm. Hitting show after show (complete with wardrobe changes), the diva showed off not one, but two glam braided ‘dos that were giving us hair life.

Her killer looks were created by NY-based hairstylist Bryant Jamison aka Busy B who is also behind the manes of such celebs as Faith Evans and Bianco Bonnie. “I was looking to do something different for fashion week,” he said noting that she’s always open to trying new styles. “That makes it easy!”

Her first look of the day featured a center top braid, which has become a chic alternative to the trendy top knot. To create the look, he parted and braided a center cornrow along the length of her crown, finishing it off with a twisted mini bun.

He paired the braid with long, cascading curls using body wave extensions from Yandy’s own hair collection, Yelle Beauty for volume and length.

For her second look, the stylist wanted to “tsjuz up” the glam look with a bit of edge.

“I was thinking Xena Warrior Princess slash Lord Of The Rings slash The Tudors. I already had the braid going on the top, so I added two braids on the side into a big french braid going down the middle to break it up.”

Last show but not the last look…@csiriano. Live for every moment it could be your last❤️❤️ #nyfw #nyfw2017

For extra volume, he used some of the extensions from the previous look. “Her natural hair is really thick and it’s kind of long, too, so I just needed to add hair into the braid gong towards the bottom to make length.”

Once finished, he pancaked the length of the braid to “make it look messy” and accessorized it with pearls. For both looks, he used Mielle Organics’ Honey & Ginger Edge Control. “It’s lightweight, it holds and it doesn’t turn white.” Because Yandy is an ambassador for the line, he said it’s the only line he uses but loves how it promotes healthy hair. “We’ve been using it for a few years now and it’s great.

Both ‘dos are a stark departure from Yandy’s normally voluminous wand curls, which is what he was going for. “She has a good face for a lot of looks, so I was like why not? I didn’t know what [the second look] was going to look like at first, but it came out really cute.”

We couldn’t agree more!
