It’s officially holiday season, which means office parties, family gatherings and New Year celebrations are all underway and you need to make sure your hair is on point at any given moment. But who has the time or hair ideas? I personally love scanning bridal looks for holiday looks as they are often quite simple, quick and easy to recreate.

This gorgeous bridal look by celeb stylist Monáe Everett is a definite winner and can be created in less than five minutes. While she styled the updo on hair she describes as 3c texture, it can really be created on all hair types – including relaxed. If your hair is straight, just set it with plaits or cornrows to give your the body and texture for this carefree ‘do.

To get the look, just part hair in three sections. Using your favorite leave-in or edge gel, brush and secure the top front section with an elastic band and roll and twist up the back two sections into loose knots, leaving the ends out in the middle section. Section, twist and wrap the front section to create funky texture and volume in the front. Skip the hair accesory (or nah) and you’ve got effortless slay.
