The Color Purple star Cynthia Erivo has been about the #cutlife for quite some time now. Whether curled up, brushed back or even etched in the Tony Award-winner is known for rocking her teenie weenie power afro. As of late, she’s been playing with color and various shades of blonde.
Last night (Sept. 26), she took her hair slayage to the next level, debuting a vintage, platinum blonde look at the Met Opera’s season opener of ‘Tristan Und Isolde.”
The custom unit was created and style by Alterego by GM, with side parted waves pinned under to create a vintage faux bob.
She even kept the face-framing ‘do after a quick costume change for the 2016 American Theatre Wing Gala honoring Cicely Tyson later that evening.
This isn’t the first time she’s played with length. Just a few days ago, she rocked a sleek braided bun at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture grand opening celebration. But, this may be her most daring.
Are you feeling her latest ‘do? Is it hype! or hmm?
