Newlyweds Ciara and Russell Wilson may have made her first post-wedding red carpet appearance together at the ESPY Awards, but all eyes were on Ciara. The singer wowed in a plunging Roberto Cavalli dress with silver bodice and pinkish nude floor-sweeping bottom. And her hair, as usual, was laid to perfection.
Her go-to stylist César Ramirez shared with Hype Hair the inspiration behind and how he created her flawless faux bob.

“For her Espy look, I wanted to try something very different from what we’ve done in the past,” said Ramirez. “Ciara’s dress was very elegant, and although I wanted a polished look, I still wanted to keep it young and fun. Once I saw the cut of the beautiful Cavalli dress, I knew I wanted to play around with a faux bob.”
Get The Look
The to get the look, start on clean, dry hair. Cesar first prepped Ciara’s hair with MIZANI Thermastrength Heat Protecting Serum and blew it then blew the hair out to give it lots of body.
Then he back combed the roots, starting at the lowest section and working his way up to the crown. “This technique creates a cushion once you begin pinning up the hair,” he said.
To achieve the faux bob shape, he rolled up the ends of her hair and pinned them under. Then he brushed the top section of hair over the pinned portion, allowing her short layers to cover the teased and pinned hair underneath and really take the shape of a bob.
