Do a beauty a check

This should go without saying, but make sure your hair and eyebrows are on point. Brush those brows and smooth down those stray hairs, shape your ‘fro or fluff up your curls.

Don’t forget to check your lips and face beat. Rock a popping lip shade that complements your skin tone – or at the very least grab a lip balm. Dry, cracked lips are NOT cute!

Find your light

Now that your beat is tight, find your light and strike a pose! Be conscious of lighting. It should not be too light or too dark otherwise you’ll either be blown or shaded out.

Strike a pose

Try taking your picture from different angles to find those that work best. We suggest holding your phone just above your head while slightly titling your head down to highlight your cheekbones and give you ultimate face slay. Practice, practice, practice. Don’t be afraid to take the same pic a few times — it could take some time to get the right look.

Frame it

No one wants to be embarrassed by showing of their bathroom toiletries or the random folks in the background, so make sure to frame the shot and keep it tight.

Be confident

Nothing slays better than confidence! All the beauty tips in the world could never shine brighter than the light in your eyes. Love the skin your in and have fun!
