KFC Now Has Chicken-Flavored Nail Polish

kfc-nail-polish-2Forget scratch-and-sniff, KFC wants you to paint and lick with its new chicken-flavored nail polish. Yes, you read right. You can now buy Original and Hot & Spicy flavored polish for your nails.

Marketing company Ogilvy & Mather teamed with McCormick, the spice company responsible for KFC’s blend of 11 herbs and spices, to create the so-called tasty nail polish for KFC Hong Kong.

While we’re not sure how this compares to a 10-piece bucket, the brand said in a statement that it was created using natural ingredients that can be “licke[d] – again and again and again.”

“The recipe for our edible nail polish is unique and was specifically designed to hold the flavor, but to also dry with a glossy coat similar to normal nail polish,” said marketing company Ogilvy & Mather’s creative director John Koay. “This campaign is designed to be intriguing and fun to increase excitement around the KFC brand in Hong Kong.”
The Finger Lickin’ Good Edible Nail Polish is not being mass-produced as of yet, but we have so many questions. Is it 3 – or 5-free? Can vegetarians rock it? How many calories? Does it only taste like chicken after polish dries?

While we ponder our 20 questions, press below for a music video supporting the campaign. Be forewarned, it will leave you asking even more.
