First Lady Michelle is absolutely fabulous in a feature for The Verge. Earlier this week, the tech site gave an exclusive look into how Michelle Obama mastered her killer social media game with a 360-video interview and fierce photo shoot.
Obama attributed her success to being accessible and just being herself:
“This generation, they’re looking for authenticity, they’re looking for what feels real and natural,” said Obama. “We know we have to meet young people where they are — they’re not watching the nightly news, they’re not watching the Sunday morning shows, they’re not reading the newspapers. They’re on their phones.”
“[Social media] bypasses the middle man,” continued. “People can get to know me directly. They can see that I’m kind of silly sometimes, that I care. They can feel the passion, [and] they don’t have to have that filtered through another source. And young people in particular like that.”
In the accompanying photo shoot, she is rocking free flowing waves with a deep side part and soft brown highlights and fashionable black and white ensemble. Slay!
