Leave it to Beyoncé to turn straight-back cornrows by stylist Kim Kimble into hair art. The “Formation” diva teamed with renowned artist Urs Fischer for a special edition cover of GARAGE Magazine. The cover features a profile of Beyoncé transformed into a collage of paint and photography by the Swiss-born artist.

Her signature blonde locks were braided by Kimble and her brushed eyebrows and nude face made up by Sir John in the photo series shot by Robin Harper.

While Beyoncé is known to slay a cover with no interview, the magazine promises an interactive feature that will include exclusive words and images from Beyoncé herself.
