There’s now a study to prove what we’ve known all along: Rihanna can sell just about anything. The NPD Group recently released research naming the bad gal as the most marketable of big-name celebs. Rihanna’s co-sign has consistently had a way of selling out product, from her own fragrances and brand endorsements, including Dior, to her BFF’s lipsticks and hats. Last year, her cover appearances even boosted magazine sales.
And, according to the study, she could move Jeeps just as well if she wanted to.
The NPD explained that a celebrity is considered to be a strong endorsement opportunity for a brand if the fans of that celebrity are at least 50 percent more likely to use the brand. Based on that, the group gave Rihanna an endorsement score 3.7 times stronger than the average big-name celebrity. Rihanna even ranked higher in influence than Beyoncé, who placed number 2, and the entire Kardashian clan.
So, Jeep, if you’re looking to move some units, you might want to give RiRi a call — just make sure to have her money on deck.
