Aside from beauty shop gossip, sitting in a usually uncomfortable swivel chair is not my ideal way to spend half of my day. Full sew-ins can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours (sometimes longer). From perfecting the braid pattern to tactfully sewing the weft to the foundation, it’s a real hefty task. However, with the per-track method, the process and application are super easy. All the stylist basically does is cornrow two braids from each side of your hair and connect them with thread — that’s your mini “braid foundation.” Then, the stylist simply sews the weft onto the braid. Easy, right?
