Serena Williams is slamming in her shoot with Harper’s Bazaar for its November 2015 issue. The tennis great is named to the glossy’s 2015 trailblazing list of “Women Who Dare”. Photographed by Douglas Friedman, Williams is radiant, fun and focused in the shoot, with her curly coily do styled by Adriana Morassut and makeup by Jodi Urichuk.
While she continues to serve us with major fitness, body and glamour goals, inside the interview we learn that the icon is all about #netflixandchill. She reveals that she loves “walking around without makeup. I like the feeling of being stripped of everything and just being myself…Watching Netflix.” Who knew?
She also shared what being daring means to her:
Daring to me is taking a chance but not doing it blindly — A very calculated chance. Think of amazing women like Sheryl Sandberg and Oprah Winfrey—they’re daring, but they’re not jumping off a building without a parachute, you know? …
You have to be smart about it. You can’t be afraid to be a pioneer and take a chance and speak up and just be bold.
