As much as we all love a good sew-in, we’ve got to be honest, they can do more bad than good. Time and time again we’ve seen ladies get beautiful sew in’s and once it’s time to remove them, they’ve either gone nearly bald or are left with severely damaged hair.
A number of things can be to blame for this such as irregular upkeep, but the most common factors of all is tension. Cornrowing too tight and sewing and pulling the weft too tight can lead to serious hair damage like alopecia.
To combat such damage, Vivica Fox’s Hair Collection company has revealed a brand new product they have in the works: the cornrow cap. Originally designed for cancer patients, the cap is already affixed with faux cornrows. The caps are also perfect for short hair, weave caps, sew ins, crotchet and interlocking. Pretty smart, right? Not to mention, the cornrows already being attached to the cap is equal to the convenience of a wig and lessens the stress of tension your hair has to manage.
The cap will feature two cornrow patterns: horseshoe and straight-back and come in sizes small, medium and large.
