Tried-and-true beauty brand Urban Decay has snagged the ultimate cool-girl Gwen Stefani for its first-ever celebrity collaboration. For years, many have fawned over Stefani’s notoriously eclectic punk look. From fresh kicks to her signature crimson pout to her eccentric blonde tresses, what’s not to love about her?
More than just for the sake of vanity, the collaboration has spawned the launch of The Ultraviolet Edge, an initiative created by Urban Decay co-founder Wende Zomnir that aims to donate $500,000 toward organizations that help empower women.
The full details about what products you can expect from the collab have been meager, but they have kicked off the initiative with a limited-edition version of their amazing Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Enigma ($20). The primer features a new matte formula, and 100% of the proceeds will go towards the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund to provide micro loans, literacy programs, as well as business and leadership training to women in post-war Uganda, according to InStyle.
