From strobing to clowning and everything in between, makeup gurus have found plenty of ways to remix the good ol’ contouring technique. A new beauty craze has surfaced and it is called henna contouring. For those of you who have a few extra minutes in the morning to spare, try out this artistic twist on contouring.
Zimbabwe-based makeup artist Shahina Aslam is the mastermind behind taking a traditional henna design and swapping Henna dye for foundation to highlight and sculpt her face. She originally entered this genius idea in Anastasia Beverly Hills contouring contest which would award the contestant with the best 60-second contouring video with a $10,000 grand prize.
With a fine-tip brush, Aslam used her henna contouring technique under her eyes, chin, nose and forehead to produce an intricate yet beautiful design almost too pretty to blend, leaving her with a flawless face.
