Vivian Green

R&B singer Vivian Green is back with her fifth album, Vivid, and introducing fans to a new, upbeat side of her.

Returning from a two-year hiatus, Green’s first single, “Get Back to My Baby” sets the tone of the new album, which is produced by rapper/producer Kwamé Holland and released via his Make Noise/Caroline label. Green promises it is unlike anything she’s ever put out. “It doesn’t sound like the others in any way…the whole album has this whole fun energy to it.”

Fans will still be treated to Green’s signature ballad-style on the album, including one that is extremely personal to the 36-year-old. The song “I’m Blessed” talks about her journey and why she doesn’t believe she’s underrated.

“I’ve been doing this for 12 years and I never had do to anything else. I feel very blessed that I can do this because some people aspire to be a recording artist and it never ever happens for them and they have to figure out a whole different life.”

The singer/songwriter also opened up about signature look and how her hair journey almost ruined her career.
