Apparently, the hold up on Rihanna’s high-anticipated and long-awaited eighth album, R8, is the clothing line she has in the works. After elevating a slew of other brands’ presence, she wants to branch out on her own and see if she can really make a mark in the fashion world with her influential style and glitzy CFDA award that crowned her a style icon last year.
After taking out trademarks of nearly everything imaginable, from fashion and beauty to perfume and makeup, Grazia reports that the pop star has recently filed a patent under her company, Roraj Trade, LLC. The application was filed for “leather products’ and ‘clothing products,” which sources say will be called, $CHOOL Kills – fitting for her “bad gal” moniker, but not sure how parents will feel about their daughters rocking a brand whose name denounces education.
In addition, sources speculate that the clothing line will first start off carrying accessories such as tote and clutch bags. This will be interesting to see what Rihanna comes up with. What are your thoughts? Would you be interested in copping any goods courtesy of Rih Rih’s new label?
