The allure of long and luxurious hair just can’t be denied. It’s fun, it’s flirty, it’s sexy and all things glamorous! When long hair is in a healthy state is when it truly looks its best. So, we gleaned a few pointers from Brooklyn-based hairstylist, Tiffany Coates, about the do’s and don’ts of haircare for long hair.
“Naturally long hair must be regularly conditioned and trimmed,” Tiffany notes, and adds that “the less heavy product you use in your long hair, the better. Use lighter oils instead and protect your long hair by shielding it at night with a satin cover-up.”
These grand looks capture the essence of Old Hollywood flair with a modern vibe. The first look features beautifully defined curls that are concentrated at the crown, with a looser curl pattern at the ends of the hair.
To begin, thoroughly cleanse the hair with a moisturizing shampoo like Cantu’s Shea Moisturizing Cream Shampoo, one of our editors’ top favorite’s. Follow up with a deep conditioning treatment.
