BET Networks has secured some incredible scripted and reality series over the last few years. Being Mary Jane is at the top of that list. Gearing up for a second season––set to premiere on Tuesday, February 3 at 10 p.m. EST––the cable giant released a taste of what’s to come.
In the trailer, you find the usual suspects, Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union) hosting a dinner party and talking about black people in America, education and legalizing marijuana. It all seems to be going as well as any dinner party until her brother arrives and shakes things up.
If you enjoyed the first season of this “beautifully flawed” storyline executive produced by Salim and Mara Brock Akil, this 5-minute clip leads us to believe there will be much more of the same TV fodder that will undoubtedly spark interesting conversations.
