Get the looks with the sew-in weaving technique from a licensed hairstylist to ensure that your style lasts for a while. However, you should never leave a weave in for longer than three months. You can also achieve the rich black tones using a color rinse or by having your hair permanently colored by a professional if you create these looks with your own hair.
After shampooing and conditioning, blow-dry your hair with a hand-held dryer while brushing it with a paddle brush to silken. Be sure to prep the hair with a heat protectant spray first in order to shield the hair from heat damage. Next, cornrow the hair straight back toward the nape and then cover the braids with a net cap.
Sew your wefts directly to the hair net. We recommend choosing a texture of hair that is already pre- styled in a pattern like Keyshia’s to achieve a similar look. After this process is complete, apply a little glossifier or sheen spray (our editors suggest the Motions brand) throughout the hair for more sheen. If you prefer more defined waves, go over the style with a curling wand.
For an alternate look, sweep all of the hair up at the crown and then secure with a stretchable hair band to recreate Keyshia’s second look.
