Get The Look: Malaysia Pargo’s Ombre Crimps

Malaysia Pargo“I like doing Basketball Wives: LA, but it’s a gift and a curse,” Malaysia Pargo—one of the latest additions to this hugely popular franchise—admitted when Hype Hair inquired about her experience on the show. “Some days are really fun, but then you have the times when arguments take place. I’m not really an argumentative person, I’m more like a problem solver,” she adds. Luckily, this wife and mother of two is keeping her newfound fame in perspective with a healthy balance of family life and career aspirations.

Besides working on the third season of BasketBall Wives: LA, Malaysia also helms her own jewelry collection, a labor of love she says was inspired by her family and friends. “My jewelry line is super precious to me. I enjoy doing it because I get to play with diamonds and a lot of different gemstones, which I love, so it makes me happy,” she says.

The jewelry line is called Three Beats Jewelry and is a collection of trinkets Malaysia created specifically for women and children. The line is now available in select hotels, including the Beverly Wilshire, The Cosmopolitan, the Ritz Carlton in North Carolina and Jason’s of Beverly Hills.

Naturally, Malaysia’s interest in jewelry is an indicator of her style and beauty choices; she confesses to being quite the girly-girl. She loves to mix it up on the fashion front, especially when it comes to shoes. “When I’m out and about, I always have on stilettos, and if I am with my kids, I wear Uggs. It’s one extreme to the other, no in between,” she laughs. As for Malaysia’s beauty choices, the self-professed lipstick enthusiast loves variety and is never without less than four lip colors in her purse.

The ladies of Basketball Wives: LA are often seen in the trendiest of hairstyles, and Malaysia’s is always lovely on the show. Though she doesn’t relax her hair, she does wear weaves to protect the health and state of her tresses due to work commitments. “Since I work on the show and do public appearances, the heat from curling adds a lot of wear and tear. Also, I like being able to go from long to short and change the color. Weaves add versatility,” she says.

Malaysia is stunning in these two fabulous ombre styles. She prefers the partial braid and sew-in weaving technique for styling her hair. The hair at the crown is her own and is blended with wefts from the Got Virgin hair weaving brand for fullness and volume.
