When you first speak with Tahira Wright and Garmai K. Momolu, founders of The Cut Life, you forget that the two friends have a ubiquitous platform with more than 120,000 followers on Instagram. The hair and lifestyle digital space–in addition to the Instagram, there is also livethecutlife.com that features the latest celebrity and fashion news–allows women to find inspiration from celebs and other women for hair ideas, fitness tips and beauty tricks.
The Cut Life’s IG may feature Raven Symone’s latest funky bob one day and a picture of your best friend’s new bun the next day. Garmai and Tahira don’t discriminate against hairstyles. They repost, tag and shout out various hair textures on their e-platforms and encourage all women to search for a true “look” that’s a reflection of themselves.
Tahira and Garmai have each found their own style that works for them: Tahira rocks a short, relaxed style, while Garmai is keeping her natural hair cool in protective braids for the summer. So, it makes sense that we decided to chat with the beautyprenuers about maintaining short hair during the hot summer months ahead.
If you’re transitioning to short hair for the summer or still trying to figure out what works for you, we suggest you take notes. –Jade Earle
