Adrienne Bailon is on a winning streak! As a triple threat, she has accomplished so much in her career. The stellar singer, actress and dancer has gone from the successful R&B group 3LW to becoming one of Disney’s biggest stars with her reign in the Cheetah Girls franchise, later venturing out on her own path as a solo singer, film and television star, and entrepreneur.
Her most recent film, I’m In Love With A Church Girl, starring rapper Ja Rule, created a lot of buzz around the Latina beauty. Now, she’s making her mark as a talk show host on the fan favorite The Real (premiering September 15)—with co-hosts Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai and Loni Love—and her new nail polish line called Finger Tip Fetish is catching on with beauty enthusiasts everywhere! Here is our exclusive chat with this fun and fabulous star.
You’re back in the studio again with some new music in the works, which is really exciting news.
Yes, I’m back in the studio with Ne-Yo and we’re actually close to wrapping up the album. I think timing is everything, especially right now with The Real. It opened so many doors for me in the sense that I think for the first time, people really got to know me. I think to be an artist in this day and age, that is such an important factor.
You also completed a film with Ja Rule, I’m In Love With A Church Girl. Tell us about the film.
I think it is such a refreshing message because a lot of men will only step into the church when following a woman. In this movie, you see Ja Rule as the bad boy who gets pulled into church by me. It’s a romance movie with a great message of faith and hope.
